#AnambraDecides: Results declared inconclusive with Soludo well ahead
Former Central Bank Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chukwuma Soludo, is currently maintaining a healthy lead in the Anambra governorship election.
After collated results from 20 out of the 21 LGAs, Soludo had secured 103,946 votes, while his closest rivals Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Andy Uba of the all Progressive Congress (APC) have 51,322 and 42,942 votes respectively.
Meanwhile, Ahmadu Umar, the collation officer for Ihiala LGA, had earlier said there was no election in his area.
In view of this development, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the election inconclusive.
This was announced by Florence Obi, returning officer for the election, she said the collation of results was suspended to allow for a supplementary election in Ihiala LGA.
The supplementary election has been fixed for November 9, 2021.
