JUST IN: Soludo Secures Victory in His Polling Unit as Anambra Governorship Election Continues — #AnambraDecides
Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has emerged victorious in his polling unit during the ongoing governorship election. Representing the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Soludo cast his vote at PU 002, Ofiyi Square, Isuofia Ward in Aguata Local Government Area.
At the polling unit, Soludo secured 417 votes, defeating APC candidate Nicholas Ukachukwu, who received four votes, while the ACCORD party candidate garnered a single vote. Out of 933 registered voters at the unit, 430 were accredited to vote. A total of 422 votes were valid, with eight ballots declared invalid.
The vote counting was overseen by the INEC presiding officer, but the process was disrupted when the BVAS machine malfunctioned towards the end of the polling, prompting an early conclusion at the unit.
