JUST IN: Soludo Claims Attempt to ‘Swap Election Results’ Amid Early Lead — #AnambraDecides

Governor Charles Soludo, who is seeking reelection under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has alleged that there is a plot to manipulate the ongoing Anambra governorship election. The governor made the claim after casting his vote at Polling Unit 002, Umuezeadigo Street, Isuofia, Aguata LGA.

Without naming specific individuals, Soludo said the plan involves “swapping election results” and suggested that some actors have met with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to facilitate the manipulation.

“We hear they have even had meetings with INEC not to upload the results so that they can have the opportunity to manipulate the results,” he said.

Despite raising concerns, Soludo expressed confidence in the electoral system. “But we have confidence that the system will sort it all out. Our people are vigilant, organised and united. Soludo, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is contesting against 15 other candidates, including Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), George Moghalu of the Labour Party, and John Chuma-Nwosu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The election has reportedly seen instances of vote-buying and intimidation, as claimed by some candidates.
