American Woman, 60, Dies in Warri While Visiting 39-Year-Old Male Companion

A 60-year-old American woman, Jacqueline Bolling Elton, has died in Warri, Delta State, during a visit to her male companion.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that Elton arrived in Warri on September 15, 2025, to spend time with her friend, 39-year-old Alawode Olaide. On Monday, September 29, at about 3:00 p.m., she was said to have suddenly fallen ill. She was first taken to a private hospital in Otokutu and later referred to the Central Hospital, Warri, where doctors confirmed her dead on arrival.

The incident was immediately reported to the authorities. Police officers visited the scene and took Olaide into custody for questioning. Elton’s remains have been deposited at the Central Hospital Mortuary for autopsy, while the case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
