Acting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to be Sworn in as Ondo State Governor Today

Ondo State is set to swear in Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the new governor today in Akure, the state capital. This follows the untimely demise of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who passed away earlier today in a German hospital, sending shockwaves throughout the state.

Sources close to the government revealed that Aiyedatiwa, who had been serving as the acting governor, is en route from Igbokoda, where he had been on a Christmas and New Year break. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Cocoa Conference Hall in Akure, although the exact time has not been confirmed.

As the state mourns the loss of Governor Akeredolu, all eyes are now on the transition of power as Lucky Aiyedatiwa assumes the role of governor, stepping into the responsibilities left vacant by his late predecessor.
