Abdullahi Adamu formally declared APC National Chairman
Former Nasarawa State Governor and serving Senator, Abdullahi Adamu has formally emerged as the new APC National Chairman at the party’s National Convention in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The 67-year-old Abdullahi Adamu who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District is also the Senate Committee Chairman on Agriculture.
He will however lose his seat in the Senate on assumption of office as the new APC National Chairman with INEC expected to conduct bye-election to fill the seat.
Earlier, six APC national chairmanship aspirants earlier withdrew from the race for Senator Abdullahi Adamu to emerge as consensus candidate.
The six aspirants include Tanko Al-Makura, George Akume, Abdulaziz Yari, Sani Musa Muhammed, Etsu Muhammed and Turaki Mustapha.
Other positions for the APC National Working Committee were also declared unopposed and dully elected for official term of four years
