A 24-year-old woman, identified as Kelechi Ebubechukwu, has died under unclear circumstances at her fiancé’s residence in the Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, September 9, was made public by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X on Wednesday.
According to Makama, preliminary police findings suggest that the young woman had been battling malaria prior to her death. Medications were reportedly recovered at the scene, and no signs of violence were found on her body.
“Earlier on Sept. 9, a distressing case of culpable homicide was reported in Gwagwalada after a 24-year-old woman, identified as Ebubechukwu Sunday Kelechi, died suddenly in her fiancé’s home,” Makama stated.
Authorities confirmed that the deceased’s fiancé has been taken into custody while investigations continue to determine the exact cause of death.
