2027: “Don’t Waste Your Money” – Primate Ayodele Warns Peter Obi Against Solo Presidential Bid
Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned Peter Obi against contesting the 2027 presidential election without forming a coalition. In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric warned that President Bola Tinubu is too formidable for any single candidate to defeat.
According to Ayodele, Obi’s belief that he can rally enough support on his own is misguided and would result in a waste of resources and political failure. He advised the former Anambra governor to either align with other opposition forces or forgo the race altogether.
“If Peter Obi feels like he has the magic wand to pull the crowd together, he won’t be able to remove Tinubu,” Ayodele stated. “Don’t waste your money at all if you don’t want to be politically miserable.”
The cleric further claimed that Obi is being misled by those around him and will ultimately face betrayal, including from his own ethnic group. He stressed that Tinubu’s political influence remains strong and that any attempt to challenge him alone would be futile.
“If you think you can stand alone to defeat Tinubu, you are joking,” Ayodele continued. “Even the Igbos won’t be with you this time. People you believe are still supporting you will disappoint you.”
Ayodele’s remarks come amid ongoing political speculations ahead of the 2027 elections, with opposition figures considering their strategies against the incumbent administration.
