2027: “ADC Will Be on the Ballot for Every Election,” — David Mark Allays Exclusion Fears
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, says the party will appear on the ballot in all elections scheduled for 2027, despite ongoing court cases.
Mark spoke on Wednesday night after receiving a briefing from the party’s legal team on a recent ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja. He dismissed concerns that the litigation could affect the party’s participation in the next general elections.
He said the party is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to secure its position and expressed confidence that the cases would be resolved in its favour. He added that the ADC would continue to operate within the law as it challenges the ruling.
The party’s legal team has initiated an appeal and filed for a stay of execution following the judgment.
The remarks come as the ADC steps up preparations for the 2027 elections, with party officials focusing on legal and organisational readiness.
Earlier, the legal team briefed Mark and other members of the party leadership on the implications of the court decision and outlined the strategy for the appeals process.
