You’re The Political Leader Of Rivers Now, Ex-Gov Odili Tells Fubara
Former Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili, has affirmed the leadership role of current Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, declaring him the political leader of the state. Odili made the declaration during the inauguration of a newly constructed Comprehensive Primary Health Centre in Ndoni, located within the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area.
The health center, a donation from the Pamo Educational Foundation (PEF), established by Odili and his family, aims to enhance healthcare access for the local community. Odili’s foundation built the facility in response to the lack of healthcare services in the district over the past three years.
Odili expressed appreciation for Governor Fubara’s efforts, noting the governor’s strong alignment with President Tinubu’s policies, particularly in areas such as education, agriculture, and healthcare. He urged Fubara to maintain this trajectory, encouraging him to focus on serving the interests of the Rivers people.
The event also included remarks from community leader Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd), who emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in revitalizing the rural health sector. Enebeli praised Governor Fubara’s support for the community and his decision to appoint Dr. Adaeze Oreh, a member of the Ndoni community, as Rivers State’s Commissioner for Health.
Governor Fubara commended Odili for his dedication and commitment to the wellbeing of the Ndoni community, recognizing the personal investment in the construction of the health center. Fubara emphasized the project’s significance and the positive impact it will have on local residents.
