“You Can Run But You Can Never Hide” – Family Member Speaks on Kogi Woman Accused of Poisoning Husband
A family member has spoken out following the death of Abdul Kadir Nagazi, who allegedly died after being poisoned by his wife, Favour Odoba, over his decision to marry a second wife.
Eng. Abdulrazak Abdulrazeez, the deceased’s cousin, addressed Favour in a video shared from the Nagazi family’s funeral on Monday. He described her actions as unforgivable and warned that she could not evade justice.
According to reports, Abdul Kadir and Favour had been married for nine years without children. Abdul Kadir later married a second wife, who recently gave birth to a baby boy. On a Saturday night, Favour reportedly invited her husband to spend the evening with her. He was later rushed to the hospital, where doctors allegedly confirmed poisoning through food and injection. The suspect is currently at large.
Abdulrazeez revealed that Abdul Kadir had spent over N2 million establishing a large shop for Favour. Speaking at the funeral, he expressed his anger and grief, saying, “See, you can run, but you can never hide.”
He also issued a cautionary message to men regarding early sexual activity among Ebira girls, suggesting it could lead to serious complications in marriage.
Authorities have yet to apprehend Favour, and investigations into the case are ongoing.
