Wife on the Run After Stabbing Husband to Death
Aisha Aliyu, a resident of Nasarawa village in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger state, is alleged to have fatally stabbed her husband, Idris Ahmadu, in the early hours of Monday.
Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesperson for the police in Niger state, confirmed the distressing incident in a statement released on Monday. According to Abiodun, the tragic event unfolded at approximately midnight, leaving the community in shock.
“In the early hours of today, one Idris Ahmadu of Nasarawa village, via Lapai, was stabbed to death by his wife, Aisha Aliyu, 19/20 years old, of the same address,” the police statement read.
Before law enforcement could reach the scene, Aisha Aliyu had reportedly fled to an undisclosed location. The police are actively pursuing efforts to apprehend the suspect, intensifying their search to bring her to justice.
While the police spokesperson did not provide details regarding the motive behind Aisha Aliyu’s alleged actions, it was emphasized that the case is currently under thorough investigation.
