Why I Deserve to be Listed in Guinness World Records – President Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu has asserted his eligibility for a spot in the Guinness World Records, citing the transformative reforms he initiated since assuming the presidency on May 29, 2023. Speaking at the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum in Berlin, Tinubu highlighted his gubernatorial tenure in Lagos from 1999 to 2007, where he propelled the state from ground zero to becoming the fifth-largest economy in Africa.
During the forum, Tinubu, who draws on his private sector background and experience as Exxon Mobil’s treasurer, emphasized his commitment to corporate governance. He declared, “Nigeria voted for me for reforms, and from day one of my inauguration, I started the reforms.”
Asserting his leadership prowess, Tinubu stated, “If you didn’t mention me in the Guinness Book of Records, I’d thrive to find a way to insert myself because I did it without expectation, my inaugural speech disclosed what I would do.”
Tinubu’s remarks coincided with the signing of two significant agreements between Nigerian and German companies during the Berlin event, underscoring the diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
