“We Now Have Complete and Total Control of the Skies Over Iran” – Trump
President Donald Trump declared Tuesday that the United States has “complete and total control” of Iranian airspace, fueling speculation about possible U.S. involvement in Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Iran. Speaking via his Truth Social platform, Trump praised the effectiveness of U.S.-made weapons and added, “Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” though he stopped short of explicitly referencing Israeli actions.
In a series of posts, Trump also escalated his rhetoric against Iran’s leadership, claiming the U.S. knows the precise location of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei but is choosing not to act—“for now.” Calling Khamenei “an easy target,” Trump warned, “We don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”
The former president then followed up with a blunt demand: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
Trump returned early from the G7 summit in Canada Monday night as tensions between Iran and Israel spiked. He was expected to meet top national security officials in the White House Situation Room Tuesday to assess U.S. options. While he has previously insisted that the U.S. is not directly involved, Trump’s recent statements suggest Washington may be edging closer to military engagement.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump dismissed the idea of temporary de-escalation, saying he wanted “a real end, not a ceasefire” and that he was “not in too much of a mood to negotiate.”
