(Videos) Anambra: Unidentified Commercial Driver Assaulted by ACTDA CEO’s Men Sparks Concerns of Government Lawlessness
By Arthur Maduka
In a shocking incident captured on video, an unidentified commercial driver with GUO Motors was brutally assaulted by individuals believed to be associated with Hon. Ossy Onuko, the Managing Director and CEO of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA). The incident occurred following a perceived traffic violation by the driver, who had overtaken Mr. Onuko’s motorcade.
Eyewitnesses at the scene recounted that the incident unfolded when Mr. Ossy Onuko allegedly directed his aides to apprehend the driver, leading to a violent confrontation. In the video footage, the driver can be seen being forcibly taken away and subjected to a severe beating, along with repeated strikes from a machete.
This incident has raised concerns about the apparent lawlessness displayed by government officials within the administration of Governor Charles Soludo. Critics and concerned citizens are now calling upon Governor Soludo to take decisive action and rein in his appointees to prevent such incidents from further worsening the security situation in the state. The worry is that continued unchecked misconduct by government officials could potentially lead to further unrest and instability within the state.
