Video: Panic in Ekwulobia as Gunmen Launch Broad-Daylight Attack on Commercial Bank, Several Feared Dead

Terror gripped the town of Ekwulobia in Anambra State earlier today as heavily armed gunmen launched a brazen attack on a commercial bank, leaving several people feared dead and many others traumatized.

Eyewitness videos circulating online show scenes of chaos, sporadic gunfire, and shattered vehicles near the targeted bank. In one chilling clip, a Keke (tricycle) driver lies lifeless inside his vehicle, while another video shows a man slumped in what appears to be a shop, also presumed dead.

Residents shared audio recordings warning others in the vicinity to remain indoors and stay vigilant. In one widely shared clip, an armed assailant is seen moving about openly near the base of the newly constructed Ekwulobia flyover bridge, underscoring the boldness of the attack.

As of the time of this report, the Anambra State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement.
