UNGA: DJ Cuppy Makes History
Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has made history as the first Nigerian to host a youth session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The renowned DJ and daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola took center stage at the 2024 UNGA, where she moderated the Youth Action Day, themed “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”
In addition to her role as a moderator, DJ Cuppy delivered a live musical performance following her keynote address, marking a momentous occasion in UNGA history. Her session attracted the largest youth gathering ever held at the UN Headquarters, underscoring the global impact of her involvement.
The event also featured prominent figures such as the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and José Maria Neves, the president of Cape Verde. Cuppy’s involvement in the event highlights her growing influence in both the entertainment and advocacy spheres.
