The tweet read “This is to announce that we have secured the release of Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule – both OOU students recently kidnapped in Ayetoro,” the governor wrote on his official Twitter handle.
“I appreciate the efforts of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police and other security agencies involved in the exercise that will now see the ladies reunited with their respective families.”
You would recall that the two female students were kidnapped on Sunday night when gunmen stormed Igbole Aibo quarters in Ayetoro, shooting sporadically.
The two students were said to have been returning from an outing when they ran into the attackers.
It is however not known if any ransom was paid.
