Tinubu Support Team Begins Door-to-Door Strategy with Customised Snacks
A video has surfaced online showing plantain chips branded with President Bola Tinubu’s name and the slogan “Jagaban 2027 Door 2 Door Movement,” reportedly being packaged for distribution as part of an early grassroots campaign effort for the 2027 general elections.
The snacks, neatly packed in clear plastic containers, appear to be part of a door-to-door mobilisation strategy, suggesting that political groundwork for Tinubu’s re-election bid may already be underway—two years ahead of schedule.
The video has quickly gained traction on social media, sparking widespread discussion and mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some see it as a humorous or harmless campaign tactic, others question the seriousness and timing of such efforts, expressing concern over the use of branding and food items in political mobilisation.
In the video, a man seen handling the chips makes it clear he is not politically aligned but was simply contracted for the packaging job.
“Na contract they give me. I’m not campaigning for anybody,” he says in Pidgin English. “It’s the money I’m interested in.”
