Tinubu Approves New Appointments at Federal Housing Authority, Federal Mortgage Bank

In a bid to revolutionize the national housing and urban development sector, President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for a major overhaul in the executive management teams of key parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

 

Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN):

Managing Director/CEO — Mr. Shehu Usman Osidi

Executive Director (Finance & Corporate Services) — Mr. Ibidapo Odojukan

Executive Director (Loans & Mortgage Services) — Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdu

FIRS:

Executive Director (Business Development & Portfolios) — Ms. Chinenye Anosike

 

Federal Housing Authority (FHA):

Managing Director/CEO — Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo

Executive Director (Housing Finance & Accounts) — Mr. Mathias Terwase Byuan

Executive Director (Business Development) — Mr. Umar Dankane Abdullahi

Executive Director (Project Implementation) — Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye

Executive Director (Estate Services) — Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok

 

Notably, the newly appointed CEO of FMBN, Shehu Osidi, brings a wealth of experience with over 30 years in banking, including 13 years in mortgage banking. He is an alumnus of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Housing Finance.

Similarly, FHA’s new CEO, Oyetunde Ojo, a former Member of the House of Representatives, possesses over a decade of experience in the housing and hospitality industries. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom.

President Tinubu’s strategic vision includes the establishment of Building Materials Hubs, a National Social Housing Fund, and land reforms aimed at unlocking nearly $300 billion of dead capital. He expects the appointed leaders to swiftly tackle the demand for affordable housing, creating job opportunities for Nigeria’s youth.
