Three Arrested in Kwara State for Alleged Murder of Tricycle Riders’ Chairman
Three individuals have been apprehended by the police in Kwara State in connection with the alleged murder of the chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (TOAN) in Idiose Alore. Identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi, Ismaila Ajirerin, and Adeola Adeosun, the suspects are residents of various areas within Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
The disturbing incident came to light when Mr. Olarenwaju Saliman, a resident of Alore, reported his brother, Mr. Musibau Aliu, missing on March 10, 2024. According to Mr. Saliman, his brother, who had left home on March 8th with his tricycle for commercial purposes, had failed to return despite exhaustive search efforts.
On the same day, the police received a tip-off about a headless corpse discovered in an uncompleted building along Okolowo Expressway, by Daru-Salam Area. Upon investigation, the decomposing male corpse was found with its head, part of the buttocks, and both wrists severed. It was later confirmed by Mr. Saliman that the deceased was indeed his missing brother, Mr. Musibau Aliu.
The spokesperson of the Kwara State police command, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured them of the police’s commitment to apprehending the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
The investigation into the murder of Mr. Musibau Aliu, the chairman of TOAN in Idiose Alore, remains ongoing as the police work diligently to bring the culprits to justice.
