“They Come Online to Pander to the Mob but Are Hustling Behind” – Seyi Law Reacts to Cubana Chief Priest’s Visit to Tinubu
Comedian Seyi Law has called out what he described as the hypocrisy of some public figures following the viral visit of nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest to President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
In a post shared on his X handle, Seyi Law wrote, *“They come online to pander to the mob but are hustling behind,”* suggesting that individuals who publicly criticize the government are often the same ones privately seeking its favor. He added that both God and time would judge those playing such double games.
The comedian also claimed that President Tinubu personally placed a birthday call to social media influencer Tunde Ednut, a gesture that reportedly left the former singer elated.
Seyi Law’s comments come amid online backlash directed at him, as many Nigerians mocked the comedian for not securing a meeting with the President despite being a vocal supporter. In contrast, Cubana Chief Priest — who has not publicly identified as a supporter of the administration — shared photos of himself with President Tinubu, sparking criticism and renewed scrutiny of Seyi Law’s political stance.
