“There’s No Video of David Mark Stuffing Dollars in His Pocket” – Dalung Taunts APC, Defends ADC Leadership

Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has thrown his weight behind the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserting that individuals of integrity were chosen to head the party’s newly formed opposition coalition. In a recent appearance on Channels TV, Dalung praised the current ADC leadership for its clean image, contrasting it with other political parties whose leaders have been entangled in corruption controversies.

“There is no video clip showing the ADC Chairman David Mark stuffing dollars into his pocket,” Dalung said, in a veiled criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party under which he once served in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Responding to allegations that the ADC was hijacked—claims largely pushed by the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu—Dalung firmly rejected the narrative. He insisted that the transition of leadership within the party followed due process and was carried out transparently. According to Dalung, former ADC Chairman Ralph Nwosu officially handed over leadership to David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, who now serve as the interim National Chairman and Secretary, respectively.
