“The Speech Wasn’t Leaked, Numbskull!”: Shaibu Slams Bwala, Accuses Him of Eyeing Presidential Spokesperson Gig
In a fiery response to Daniel Bwala’s recent comments on the leak of President Bola Tinubu’s speech, Phrank Shaibu, communications aide to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has accused Bwala of mischief and ambition. Shaibu suggests that Bwala’s criticism is a veiled attempt to secure a job as a presidential spokesperson.
Shaibu took to his X account to rebuke Bwala, stating, “.@BwalaDaniel, the speech wasn’t leaked, numbskull! I see your sneaky attempt to land a spokesman gig. Presidential speeches go to editors with a ‘do not disturb’ sign until showtime. The premature release of the speech to Nigerians blatantly illustrates the dwindling confidence of the media in this administration… and here you’re yammering about sabotage… by who? Meanwhile, the statement in the second photo was from your days as God’s mouthpiece before swapping divine truths for a devilish buffet. Enjoy your new role as Special Assistant on @PeterObi matters and quit eyeing Ajuri or Onanuga’s job.”
Shaibu’s outburst follows Bwala’s earlier condemnation of the premature release of President Tinubu’s speech, which Bwala had termed as sabotage and called for consequences. Shaibu, however, dismissed the notion of sabotage and instead pointed to declining media confidence in the administration as the underlying issue. He also criticized Bwala’s past and present political alignments, suggesting ulterior motives behind his statements.
