Tenant Breaks Landlord’s Head with Pestle in Enugu Over Eviction Notice
A woman and her two children are in police custody after allegedly attacking their landlord with a pestle in Umugbabe Ovoko, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, January 31, 2025, was reported by Enugu-based media personality Chijinkem Ugwuanyi. According to Ugwuanyi, the landlord, a young orphan, had asked the woman to vacate his property when she allegedly struck him on the head with a pestle.
Ugwuanyi revealed that the landlord had initially allowed the woman and her children to stay because he was alone in the large house. Following the attack, the suspect and her children were arrested and are currently being held at Ibagwa Aka Police Station.
