Teenager Shot Dead by Police Officer Over Fireworks in Delta State
A 17-year-old boy, Emeka Odogwu, tragically lost his life on Saturday night, December 8, after being shot by a police officer in Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument about the use of fireworks. Eyewitnesses claim that the teenager attempted to flee the scene when one of the officers fired the fatal shot.
Delta State Police Command spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, stating that the officer responsible has been arrested and is currently in detention as investigations continue.
