Suspected Kidnappers Kill Popular Hotelier in Failed Abduction Attempt
Gunmen, believed to be kidnappers, have killed Chief David Oladepo Aina, also known as Kebe, in Oro Ago community, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Aina, the owner of Kebe Hotel, was reportedly attacked on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, around 4 p.m. at his hotel. Witnesses said the gunmen attempted to abduct him, but he resisted, prompting them to open fire.
Confirming the incident, the Kwara State Police Commissioner, Adekimi Ojo, clarified that no residents were kidnapped during the attack. “Nobody was kidnapped, but one hotelier was killed during the attack on the community,” he stated.
Police have launched an investigation into the attack.
