Pastor’s iPhone Snatched During Live Prayer Stream in London
A Ghanaian pastor’s online prayer broadcast in London ended abruptly this week after a masked thief snatched his phone midstream, leaving his virtual congregation stunned.
Isaac Anderson, who leads a church community in the United Kingdom, was delivering morning prayers on Hoe Street in Walthamstow on September 23 when two cyclists wearing ski masks approached him. Anderson had been declaring blessings upon his followers when the stream suddenly cut off. A video clip later circulated on social media showing a bus driver honking as if to alert the pastor before the thieves grabbed his phone and sped away. Moments later, the livestream went silent before ending in a blackout.
In a message recorded afterward on his tablet, Anderson confirmed that his stolen device was an iPhone 16 Pro Max. He expressed disappointment over the loss of his files but said he was placing his trust in God for provision. He later revealed that he fell and sustained injuries while attempting to chase the thieves. From a hospital bed, he called on his congregation to pray for his recovery.
The incident has drawn widespread reactions online, with many expressing sympathy for the pastor and concern over rising street thefts in London.
