Soludo’s Visit to Aso Rock a Sign Tinubu is Winning, Says Buhari’s Former Aide
Former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad has said Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo’s visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa is a clear indication of the president’s growing political influence.
Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), met with Tinubu in Abuja on Tuesday. During the visit, the governor wore a face cap bearing the president’s insignia and the slogan “Progressives Working Together.”
Tinubu is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Soludo leads a state governed by APGA, a party generally seen as outside the APC’s political fold.
Ahmad, who served under the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, commented on the visit in a post on X, noting the significance of the governor’s attire. “Gov. Soludo of Anambra State wore a p-cap with President Tinubu’s insignia during his visit to Aso Rock today. The cap also carried a bold message reading ‘Progressives Working Together.’ This is a clear sign that the President is winning even inside their inner circle,” he wrote.
