Shock as Policeman Dies in Hotel Room, Female Companion Missing

A Nigerian police inspector has been found dead in a hotel room in Ogun State, with his female companion missing from the scene.

Inspector Haruna Mohammed checked into Super G Royal Hotel, located at 11 Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, alongside an unidentified woman at approximately 1:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025. By morning, hotel staff discovered his lifeless body, while the woman had disappeared.

According to a police report, the hotel’s manager, Deborah Adejobi, noticed that the room was unlocked at around 8:52 am. Upon entering, she found the deceased officer, prompting an immediate report to law enforcement by the hotel owner, Abiodun Olagunju.

Further details from the police memo indicate that the woman had visited the reception area at around 6:00 am to request a bottle of table water. When staff later checked the room, they found it open and Mohammed unresponsive.

Authorities have described the death as “unnatural,” and an investigation is underway. Detectives visited the scene, took photographs, and transported the body to Life Channel Mortuary in Olambe. A police camouflage uniform bearing the inspector’s rank and name tag was found in his bag.

The hotel manager has been taken in for questioning, while efforts are ongoing to locate the missing woman. Police have assured the public that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
