Seven New Ministers to Be Sworn in by President Tinubu Today

 

 

Today marks a key moment in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as seven newly appointed ministers are set to be sworn in, reflecting ongoing efforts to restructure and strengthen the government.

 

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, announced the scheduled inauguration via his verified social media account, confirming that the Senate had cleared the new ministers last week.

 

Among those to be sworn in are Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, who will lead the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, appointed as Minister of Labour and Employment. Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, a prominent figure, will assume the role of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

 

Other notable appointments include Dr. Jumoke Oduwole for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha as Minister for Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.

 

This ministerial shake-up comes as part of a broader cabinet restructuring following calls from various quarters for fresh appointments within the administration. Sources close to the presidency indicated that President Tinubu made the new appointments during a recent two-week working vacation, in response to public demand for renewed leadership across multiple sectors.
