Security Operatives Search Magu Houses as Embattled EFCC Boss is Moved Back to Detention At FCID
Team of security operatives on Tuesday evening searched Abuja homes of the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
The operatives, armed with search warrant stormed the Karu private and Maitama official residences of the suspended acting Chairman. The search according to a source was part of the ongoing investigations into the activities of the anti graft boss.
Operatives from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Department of State Services (DSS), and Police were among the members of the team that conducted the search.
Magu was on Monday arrested by security operatives to face the presidential investigative panel, led by a former President of the Court of Appeal, retired Justice Ayo Salami, over some allegations levelled against him by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, in a memo to President Buhari.
Meanwhile, the embattled EFCC boss was moved back to the Force Criminal Investigation Bureau (FCID), where he was detained after his grilling by the investigative panel ended around 8:30pm on Tuesday.
