“Sack Ministers, Aides for Being Your Problem” – Primate Ayodele to Tinubu
Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged President Bola Tinubu to dismiss his ministers and aides, citing their incompetence as a significant factor in the ongoing protests against his administration.
Through a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele emphasized that the protests are not solely due to Tinubu’s actions but are largely driven by the failures of his government officials.
“The country is bleeding, and all Tinubu needs to do is reduce the price of foodstuffs, petrol, and power to alleviate the people’s suffering,” Ayodele stated. He warned that if the protests persist, they could lead to the collapse of the country.
Highlighting specific issues within the administration, Ayodele pointed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio as a major problem, criticizing his lack of coordination and effectiveness. “They are mocking his government, and his ministers are not even helping him,” he added.
Ayodele has long been vocal about the potential for economic hardship under the current government, and he reiterated that the situation could improve if Tinubu heeds constructive advice. “I had warned about the consequences of voting for a bad government, but we can turn this bad to good by listening to good advice. Those who criticize do so out of a desire to see improvement, not out of hatred,” he explained.
The cleric also criticized the government’s handling of relief measures, such as the distribution of 40,000 bags of rice, noting the lack of effective implementation. “Don’t wait until the whole situation deteriorates,” he urged.
