RSIEC to Unveil 2025 Local Government Election Guidelines
The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) is set to announce the timetable and guidelines for the 2025 Local Government Elections in the state. A general stakeholders’ meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at RSIEC Headquarters, located at 239-243 Aba Road, Port Harcourt. The event will commence at 2:00 PM.
In a statement signed by RSIEC Chairman and Chief Electoral Commissioner, Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd), key stakeholders expected at the meeting include leaders of registered political parties, traditional rulers, security agencies, religious organizations, media representatives, professional bodies, civil society groups, NGOs, community-based organizations, and members of the electorate.
The meeting will serve as a platform to officially present the election timetable and guidelines, marking a significant step in the preparations for the upcoming Local Government Elections in Rivers State.
RSIEC has urged all invited stakeholders to be seated at the RSIEC Auditorium by 2:00 PM to ensure a smooth and timely engagement.
