In a recent address at the Correspondents’ Chapel of the 2023 annual Week of Rivers NUJ, Joseph Johnson, the Rivers Commissioner for Information and Communications, encouraged political ‘godfathers’ in the state to adopt the positive political principles of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Johnson emphasized the importance of allowing loyalists in elected positions to lead without hindrance, citing Tinubu’s approach with former Governor Ambode in Lagos as an example.

Despite the political challenges, Johnson highlighted the significant support demonstrated by the people of Rivers state during the recent flag-off of 20,000 housing units at Mbodo, Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
