The State Executive Committee (SEC) of the Rivers state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday suspended the state’s acting Chairman, Igo Aguma from the Party.
Senator Andrew Uchendu who announced the suspension when he addressed newsmen in Port Harcourt after the emergency meeting of the SEC said Sokonte Davies has been appointed acting Chairman.
The suspension of Aguma according to Uchendu was done during the meeting which was attended by 28 out of 38 members. Aguma was alleged to have engaged in anti party activities. The SEC also disowned the suspension of acting National Chairman of the Party, Victor Giadom, by Aguma and the swearing-in of Wogu Boms who was appointed as Giadom’s replacement by the suspended Chairman.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC has today in Abuja sworn-in Boms as the Deputy National Secretary of the Party, a position previously held by Giadom.
