Ize-Iyamu Wins Edo APC Governorship Primary
Former Secretary to Edo State Government, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has won the gubernatorial primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Edo state.
Ize-Iyamu according to the results of the primary declared by the Chairman of the Edo State APC Primary Election Committee, Governor Hope Uzodinma, polled 27,838 votes to beat his closest River, a former Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Plus Odubu who scored 3,776. Mr. Osaro Obaze came third with 2,751.
Ize-Iyamu will fly the party’s ticket in the September 19 governorship election.
Victor Giadom, one of the claimants to the position of the acting National Chairman of the APC had earlier wrote the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), dissociating the Party from the election that held in all 18 local government areas of the state.
