“Resign or Be Impeached” – Okocha Tells Governor Fubara
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has issued a stern call for Governor Siminalayi Fubara to resign or face impeachment. Speaking at a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday, Okocha criticized the governor’s recent invitation to 27 lawmakers as insincere, describing it as a “Greek gift.”
According to Okocha, the governor has not only disrespected President Bola Tinubu but has also violated the rule of law. He emphasized that the Supreme Court’s judgement on the political crisis in the state is final and must be respected.
“The invitation to the lawmakers is a Greek gift. The Supreme Court judgement is final. There is nothing anybody can do about it. The only option available to the governor now is for him to resign or be impeached,” Okocha said.
