Recently Appointed Rivers LGA Sole Administrator Reportedly Resigns, Gives Reason

Goodluck Iheamnacho, the Sole Administrator of Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers State, has reportedly resigned just two months after assuming office. In a letter dated June 20, 2025, and now circulating on Facebook, Iheamnacho announced his decision to step down, citing a desire to return to the private sector.
The resignation letter was addressed to the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas. Iheamnacho used the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Rivers State Government and the people of Ahoada East for the trust placed in him during his brief tenure. According to the letter, he served from April 11 to June 20, 2025.
