Protest: “These ADC clueless kids should be tamed and trained” — Joe Igbokwe reacts to Abuja protest
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has reacted to a protest held at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja, where demonstrators called for the removal of President Bola Tinubu.
The protest, led by a coalition of opposition figures, was linked to the leadership dispute within the African Democratic Congress. During the demonstration, participants were heard chanting slogans demanding that the president step down.
Reacting in a Facebook post, Igbokwe dismissed the protest and questioned the rationale behind the demand for Tinubu’s resignation.
He wrote:
“I saw some street urchins and touts shouting Tinubu must go, Tinubu must go. Has Tinubu finished his 4-year term in office?”
He further criticised the protesters’ conduct and capacity, saying:
“These ADC clueless kids should be tamed and trained. The boys do not know that the train has left the station.”
Igbokwe argued that it was premature to call for the president’s exit, noting that the current mandate is still ongoing.
