President Tinubu to Visit Enugu for Project Commissioning
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Enugu State on Saturday, January 4, 2025, to commission several projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration. The announcement was made in a statement released on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia.
The projects to be commissioned include 30 completed and fully equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of a larger initiative involving 260 schools under construction across the state’s wards. Additionally, 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, also part of a 260-centre development project, are among the highlights.
President Tinubu will also inaugurate the completed Enugu International Conference Centre, a multi-auditorium and multifunctional facility designed to boost the state’s economic and cultural engagements. Other projects include 90 urban roads completed within Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-embedded surveillance systems to enhance security in the state.
The statement noted that some completed rural roads would also be commissioned during the one-day visit, marking a significant milestone in infrastructure development in Enugu under Governor Mbah’s administration.
