President Tinubu Takes Off for Diplomatic Visit to Qatar
President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Lagos today for a two-day official visit to the State of Qatar, responding to an invitation from Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The presidency has highlighted that this visit aims to deepen the collaboration between Nigeria and Qatar in various sectors such as security, cultural exchange, and economic development.
During the stay, President Tinubu is expected to oversee the signing of several agreements, with a focus on enhancing Nigeria’s real sector and fostering value-driven investments in trade, education, culture, solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, and gas. Additionally, efforts to strengthen cooperation against terrorism will be a key aspect of the discussions.
An integral part of the visit includes President Tinubu’s participation in a business and investment forum. This forum will assemble high-profile executives from both the private and public sectors of Nigeria and Qatar, aiming to explore cross-sectoral opportunities for mutual growth and development.
Accompanying the President on this diplomatic mission are senior government officials, collectively working towards solidifying the collaborative agreements between the two nations.
