In a move aimed at driving forward essential government programs, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his seal of approval to the appointments of Delu Bulus Yakubu and Aliyu Tijani Ahmed to pivotal roles within key agencies, pending Senate confirmation.
The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in an official statement released on Thursday. These appointments come following the enactment of the NSIPA Establishment Act, 2023, which was signed into law on May 22, 2023.
Delu Bulus Yakubu will serve as the inaugural National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA), a role that carries immense responsibility in managing and directing social investment initiatives crucial for the welfare of Nigerian citizens.
Simultaneously, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Aliyu Tijani Ahmed as the new Federal Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI). Aliyu Tijani Ahmed’s leadership in this critical agency is expected to play a pivotal role in addressing the challenges faced by refugees, migrants, and internally displaced persons within the nation.
