President Tinubu Appoints New Chief Medical Director for Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially appointed Dr. Salisu Mu’azu Babura as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Rasheed Shekoni Federal University Dutse Teaching Hospital. The announcement, made by the Federal Ministry of Health, confirms that Dr. Mu’azu’s appointment took effect on 31st October 2024.
Dr. Mu’azu steps into this new role following his previous position as Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of History. Known for his extensive experience in public health and administration, Dr. Mu’azu is currently enrolled in the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, Jos, a prestigious program aimed at cultivating high-level policy and strategic insight among Nigerian leaders.
On behalf of the federal government, the Minister of Health extended warm congratulations to Dr. Mu’azu, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the teaching hospital and wishing him a successful and impactful tenure. Dr. Mu’azu is expected to oversee and further develop healthcare services at Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital, enhancing its role in medical education and quality care delivery for the community and beyond.
