Polytechnic Students Attack, Demobilize Ogun Deputy Governor’s Vehicle
Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, disrupted and demobilized the convoy of Ogun State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, during a road protest yesterday. The students, wielding sticks and other objects, damaged her vehicle, forcing her to halt her journey temporarily.
The incident occurred while the deputy governor was en route to the 35 Artillery Brigade in Alabata, Abeokuta, to represent Governor Dapo Abiodun at the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations. The protesting students blocked the convoy’s path, leading to significant disruption and delays.
A statement from Mr. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, confirmed the attack and the interruption to the deputy governor’s itinerary.
