Police Sack Constable for Stealing Goat
The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed a constable in Taraba State after he was found guilty of stealing a goat.
In an official signal from the Commissioner of Police, DFA Jalingo, to the Divisional Police Officer in Mutum Biyu, the dismissed officer was identified as PC Usman Mohammed, formerly attached to the Mutum Biyu Division.
According to the statement, the action followed due disciplinary procedures and was carried out in line with the Police Act and Regulation 370, Cap 389 of the 2010 Laws of the Federation, as amended.
Police authorities said the offence, listed under paragraph “E” of the First Schedule of the Police Act, warranted immediate termination of Mohammed’s appointment.
All official items issued to him, including his police ID card, are to be retrieved, his salary stopped, and his records updated to reflect the dismissal.
