Police Hunt Man Accused of Bathing Girlfriend With Acid
A young man identified as Timothy Gilbert is being sought by authorities after allegedly attacking his girlfriend, Angela Ogah, with a substance suspected to be acid in the Amufi area of Ikpoba Okha, Edo State.
Ogah is receiving treatment in a private hospital, where she is reported to be in critical condition and unable to speak clearly when journalists visited.
Her lawyer, John Adewale Izegaegbe, urged security agencies to move swiftly to arrest the suspect, noting that a petition has already been submitted to the state Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika. He stressed that prompt action is needed, saying the victim is in intense pain and requires justice without delay.
