Photos: “My Friend and Brother of Over 22 Years” — Soludo Visits Tinubu at Aso Villa After Election Victory
Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, marking their first meeting since Soludo’s decisive victory in the Anambra governorship election.
Soludo, in a statement shared on his verified Facebook page, described the meeting as warm and personal, noting that the president received him “with his usual warmth, big smile, and open arms.” He added that Tinubu once again congratulated him on the mandate given to him by the people of Anambra, a victory the president reportedly described as evidence of public trust in their shared development vision.
The governor highlighted their long-standing relationship, referring to Tinubu as his “friend and brother of over 22 years.” He expressed gratitude for the president’s prompt congratulatory message and his continued support for Anambra State.
Soludo did not disclose the full agenda of the visit, but political observers view it as both a thank-you visit and a signal of strengthened cooperation between the state and the federal government.
He closed his message with optimism about unity and progress, saying, “We are one Nigeria, and together — with God on our side — we will build the Anambra and the Nigeria of our dreams.”
