Photos: Massive Turnout As PDP Presidential Campaign Rally Hits Abuja.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took its presidential campaign rally to the Federal Capital Territory today.
The rally which recorded a large turnout reaffirmed the party’s wide acceptance at the center of power.
The visibly elated presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in his address to the mammoth crowd reassured Nigerians that the PDP is on a rescue mission to recover Nigeria.
He appealed to Abuja residents and all Nigerians to vote for the PDP to restore unity, to salvage the economy and to ensure security of the nation.
He said Abuja was safer under the PDP and promised to double the achievements of PDP in the FCT from 1999-2015 if voted back to power.
“What we are here for is to pledge to you once again, if you give us the opportunity, we will do more than what we did between 1999 and 2015 for the residents of Abuja”
“We shall give you all your entitlements under the current constitution. All the appointments that is due to Abuja will be giving them” Abubakar vowed
On education, the PDP presidential candidate bemoaned the high number of out of school children and the frequent closing down of our universities due to incessant strike by university workers.
“Today, we have the highest number of out of school children, we will make sure this children go back to school and not only that, we will make sure our universities are open, not only open but open forever and ever” he said.
