Photos: Anambra’s Crackdown on Insurgents: Joint Security Force Strikes Back with Force

In a resolute response to recent insurgent attacks on two Police Stations, the Joint Security Force in Anambra State has launched an intensified hunt to root out the perpetrators.

Venturing into the depths of Obofia Forest, Aguluezuchukwu, and Ogboji areas, the force is leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit.

On April 2nd, 2024, a highly mobile Police-led Forward Operating Base executed a decisive strike against insurgent camps nestled within these communities.

Engaged in a fierce firefight, the insurgents found themselves outmatched as they were forcefully evicted from their enclaves, which were subsequently obliterated.

The aftermath of the operation yielded a trove of seized items including high-caliber ammunition, cartridges, a locally fabricated rocket launcher, Police uniforms, and an unmarked Ford Pick-Up Truck.

Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has issued a resolute pledge to maintain the offensive until the insurgents are completely eradicated from Anambra State.

With a rallying cry for troops and personnel to uphold the momentum, the Commissioner is steadfast in ensuring the safety of the state from these cowardly guerrilla attacks.
